Dykeland Lodge celebrated the launch of its new recruitment campaign, rebranding, and enhanced website earlier this month with team members, senior leadership, residents, and members of the community in attendance. Also participating and receiving an orientation were incoming students to the Work & Learn Continuing Care Assistant Program, a collaboration between CBBC and Dykeland Lodge.
A beautiful cake highlighted the lovely new Dykeland logo was cut by Krista Beeler, CEO; Glenn Robinson, Vice-Chair of the Dykeland Board of Directors, and Maureen Connors, Creative Director and Owner of MMC Creative. Connors is the communications lead and graphic designer of Dykeland’s new communications strategies and initiatives. These new endeavours support the newly developed three-year Strategic plan released by the Senior Leadership team and Board with stakeholders in the spring explains Beeler. “These communications initiatives are part of our plan’s key transformational projects that also include reimagining how we provide exceptional quality care to a diverse population, a health integration system, a culture shift of increased diversity and stronger inclusion, equipping and training the next generation of health care professionals and charting the course towards our progressive new build and a healthier community”, she adds.
The vibrant elements of the logo combine an overarching golden sun and figure bursting forth that represent the strength and the priceless value of the people who are being cared for and who live at Dykeland as
well as those who provide outstanding care and life enrichment; the green and brown stand for the lush farmlands and rich soil of the beautiful and bountiful Annapolis Valley, while the tag line Enriching Lives symbolizes a philosophy of care that impacts every aspect of living and working at Dykeland Lodge through a renewed commitment that takes holistic care excellence to the next level. “We are on a new journey towards a dream and a new build,” comments Beeler.
The poster boards, banners and signs that are part of the new recruitment process feature testimonial statements such as “Dykeland Lodge-Where you will find inspiration and purpose every day”, “It’s magic when that connection takes hold”; and more, that reflect the uniqueness of Dykeland, the strong connections among residents, families and staff; the very real, united sense of family and the firm commitment towards the growth and fulfillment of the Dykeland team.
The new website is now live at dykelandlodge.ca. This fresh new site has an updated next-generation design and more information which will further strengthen Dykeland’s presence within the community and the provincial long term care sector as it prepares for a future that is steadfast, emergent, and bright.
